The hardworking attorneys and staff at Hackstaff Snow Atkinson & Griess have long been a part of the Denver community. Not only does this mean serving legal clients throughout Colorado but also giving back locally.
HSAG participates in many fundraisers and community service events throughout the year, with Over the Edge as the highlight event every September. This unique fundraising event raises money for a good cause and involves a fun adrenaline rush for those who dare to go over the edge of a 36-story building. This year, HSAG sponsored the event in partnership with:
- UCHealth
- CU Cancer Center
- Douglas Parking
- MDC Richmond American Foundation
- South Metro Fire Rescue
- Madison Commercial Properties
- PBJ Reece Charitable Fund
- Whitcomb Charitable Foundation
- Dependable Cleaners
- Gosz Family Trust
2022 Funds Raised by HSAG
Cancer League of Colorado’s Over the Edge event took place on September 8-10, 2022, at 1670 Broadway in downtown Denver. While individuals and teams can accept donations through the year’s end, this event has raised over $180,000 through 642 generous donors and nearly 700 contributions. With help from our donors, the HSAG team raised $38,000, coming in second place amongst all the participating teams. Participating on the HSAG team were:
- Jim Hackstaff came in third place for individual participants by raising $7,025
- John Snow came in fourth place for individual participants by raising $6,425
- Riley Snow came in seventh place for individual participants by raising $4,595
- Douglas Griess, raising $1,250.00
- Kaeden Griess, raising $1,200.00
Congratulations to Team HSAG and all of their participants for a job well done!
About Cancer League of Colorado
Cancer League of Colorado has no paid staff or offices, which is atypical for a non-profit organization. All operating expenses are paid with membership dues and their 100 percent volunteer staff of over 400. Cancer League of Colorado is committing to fighting cancer and supporting cancer research. All donations go directly to cancer research and cancer patient services in Colorado, including those raised through the Over the Edge Event. Since 1985, Cancer League has donated over $20 million in grants toward cancer research and patient and family services. Perhaps they have directly or indirectly helped someone you love.
There’s Still Time to Donate!
If you haven’t yet donated to our team or individual efforts, the good news is there is still time! Through the end of 2022, you can make your donation online or by mailing a check to help the success of the HSAG team or our participants. But, more importantly, you’ll be helping to enrich and prolong the lives of cancer patients throughout our great state of Colorado.
